THE LAS VEGAS OPEN is by invitation only.

The Director reserves the right to refuse an entrant without giving any reason.

All fees paid onsite must be in cash.

Eligibility for all events is subject to approval.

All events at the Las Vegas Open will be played in accordance with the U.S. Backgammon Federation Tournament Rules with the following options:

  • Legal Moves
  • Dice on Checkers

All events at the Las Vegas Open are "Clocks Required” with only two exceptions, the Novice Division and the 1-Point Quickie.

Baffle Boxes may be used by either player, but may only be forced upon a player by the Tournamnent Director.

Videotaping in any event is permissible by either player.

The number of places paid in any event is dependent upon the number of entrants and may be adjusted at the Director's discretion.

The Side Pool hierarchy for the ABT Open and Intermediate Divisions are as follows: Main 1st, Main 2nd, Main 3rd, Consolation 1st, Consolation 2nd, Main 4th/5th, Consolation 3rd/4th.
