HOTEL RESERVATIONS

The Riviera Hotel offers tournament participants a special room rate of $84 per night single or double occupancy. ALL RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE BY MONDAY APRIL 1, 2005. Room requests after the cut-off date will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. Call the Riviera Hotel at 1-800-634-6753. Outside of the United States call 702-734-5110. CALCUTTA AUCTION

Share in the profits when your favorite players win by buying them in the Calcutta Auction. All players in the Championship and Intermediate playoffs of the International Cup will be included. The payoffs will be for the top four players in the main flight, the top two players in the consolation and the top two players in the last chance.

Players who reenter will maintain the same position in the Calcutta as the original entry. A total of $8,000 will be given away in a random drawing at the auction as follows: 4 prizes of $500 and 5 of $1,000. There will be one prize of $1,000 for individuals who make purchases at the auction.

All winners must be present to claim their prize.

TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS

1. The Nevada State Backgammon Tournament is by invitation only. The Nevada Backgammon Association reserves the right to refuse application to participate in the tournament and to refuse access to the premises with no reason required. No entrant will be allowed to play below his or her level.

2. No smoking in the main playing room. There will be a separate room for smoking. Tournament seating will be determined by the non-smoker.

SIDE EVENTS

Blitz Event

$40 entry fee with 85% return. 5-point matches. Eight-player knockouts will be held from Wednesday, April 27th through Saturday, April 30th. The winner of each round of 8 winner will receive $120 and qualify for the playoffs. 1st place 70%, 2nd place 30%. Players may win up to two brackets of eight, both of which will be eligible for byes.

Mini-Match

$20 entry fee. 2-point matches, with doubling cube. Re-entries allowed and encouraged. 85% return.

Doubles Tournament

$300 entry fee per team. 7-point matches. 85% return. 1st place 70%, 2nd place 30%. Limited to 32 entries.

Super Jackpot

$750 entry fee to begin in round of 64 starting Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. and at 7:00 p.m. $1,500 entry fee to begin in round of 32 starting Thursday at 9:00 p.m. $3,000 entry fee to begin in round of 16 starting Friday at 7:00 p.m. 95% return. Full field of 16 will pay 1st place $22,800, 2nd place $11,400 and semi-finalists $5,700 each. This will be a clock event. However, if both players agree to play without a clock, they may do so.

Limited Jackpot

$400 entry fee to begin in round of 64 starting Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. and at 7:00 p.m. $800 entry fee to begin in round of 32 starting Thursday at 9:00 p.m. $1,600 entry fee to begin in round of 16 starting Friday at 7:00 p.m. 90% return. Full field of 16 will pay 1st place $16,000, 2nd place $7,040. The Limited Jackpot is for players not of a top championship level. The Nevada Backgammon Association reserves the right to disallow any entrant to play below his or her level.

SENIORS TOURNAMENT

For 55 and older. $50 entry fee. 85% return. 7-point matches. Single elimination. Re-entries allowed. 1st place - 70% 2nd place - 30%

Saturday $100 Jackpot

$100 entry fee. 85% return. PLAYERS NO LONGER IN THE MAIN FLIGHT OR CONSOLATION OF ANY DIVISION ARE ELIGIBLE. 7-point matches. Starting time 2:30 P.M.

Saturday $500 Jackpot

$500 entry fee. 90% return. PLAYERS NO LONGER IN THE MAIN FLIGHT OR CONSOLATION OF ANY DIVISION ARE ELIGIBLE. 11-point matches. Starting time 2:30 P.M. 1st place - 70% 2nd place - 30%.

$50 entry fee. 85% return. 5-point matches. Single elimination. 1st place - 70% 2nd place - 30%.

$20 entry fee. 80% return. 5-point matches. Single elimination. 1st place - 70% 2nd place - 30%.
