ATTENTION: Please make reservations early. Cannot guarantee rooms or room rates after May 8th. Be sure to mention you are with the backgammon group.

RESTAURANTS and LOUNGES: Windows - the Resort's main dining room serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday brunch. The Grille - a relaxed, casual restaurant amid sports decor. The Lobby Bar - offers a panoramic golf course view.

TRANSPORTATION: Mr. Chauffeur provides transportation to and from O'Hare and Midway Airports for a reasonable fee. Please make reservations in advance by calling 1-800-244-6200.

AMENITIES: Coffee makers and hair dryers in every room. Fitness center, indoor/outdoor pools, saunas, whirlpools, tennis, basketball, volleyball courts and an 18-hole golf course.

TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS

1.    NOTE: There is no Main Flight Tournament scheduled for Saturday night for Intermediate and Beginner divisions.

2.    THE CHICAGO OPEN is by invitation only. The Tournament reserves the right to refuse an entrant without giving any reason.

3.    All fees paid at the tournament must be in cash.

4.    Entrants may play in the division of their choice but the Tournament reserves the right to disallow an entrant to play below their level.

5.    No NEW registrations in Championship or Intermediate divisions after 9:00 p.m. Friday, May 27th.

6.    No smoking in main playing room. Smoking will be allowed in designated playing areas. Seating will be determined by non-smoker preference. Two five-minute breaks may be taken between games during non-smoking matches.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION: $300 entry fee. Double elimination with progressive consolation. 13-point matches. 85% return $100 side pool (optional) 100% return. (No NEW registrations after 9:00 PM Friday.) Re-entries.

INTERMEDIATE DIVISION: $150 entry fee. Guarantees eight matches. $10 prize for each match won during qualifying match play by players who do not reach semi-finals of Main Flight and do not reach finals of the Consolation. The four players with the best win-loss records will be the semi-finalists. Should there be ties, there will be play-off matches to determine the final four. Players not reaching the semifinals will be eligible to participate in the Consolation. To qualify for match-money and consolation, each player must play all (eight) qualifying matches. All qualifying matches will be 7 points and limited to 90 minutes. 80% return. (No NEW registrations after 9:00 PM Friday.)

BEGINNER DIVISION: $30 entry fee. Guarantees six matches. Should there be ties, there will be play-off matches to determine the finalists All matches will be five points and limited to 90 minutes. 80% return.

MEMORIAL DAY MASTERS: $400 entry fee. Single elimination. 11-point matches. Re-entries. 90% return.

MINI-MATCH: $20 entry fee. Single elimination. Two-point matches, with doubling cube. Re-entries allowed to field of 128. 90% return.

DOUBLES TOURNAMENT: $200 entry fee. Single elimination, seven-point matches. 85% return. Re-entries allowed.

BLITZ TOURNAMENT: $35 entry fee. $50 to each winner of a group of four. Players may not enter in conflict within any other event. Five-point matches. 85% return. Continuous entries. Playoffs on Monday.

CALCUTTA AUCTION: Championship and Intermediate Divisions. 90% return
